How To Incorporate Chant Into A Contemplative Service
This Week's Contemplative Service with Taizé Music
"Come to me all you who labor and are heavy laden and I volition requite you lot residual."
7th Sunday of Easter: 29 May 2022
Since the start of the pandemic, each week nosotros have published on YouTube a contemplative evening prayer service with music in the style of Taizé, and these videos are bachelor at any time to watch. This contemplative liturgy is inspired past the worship of the eponymous, ecumenical monastic fraternity in Taizé, French republic. Our liturgy at St. Andrew's includes singing, praying, and moments of silence. Meditative repetition of simple Taizé-inspired dirge-like songs helps us to exhale deeply and relax. Our defended music team has consists of guitar, autoharp, and hand percussion as well as singers. The music team always welcomes new members! The temper is conducive to prayer in many forms. All are welcome at this peace-filled and restful service.
